Gemini Telescopes
Gemini operates two 8m class telescopes, one in the Northern Hemisphere on the summit of Mauna Kea on the Big Island of Hawaii, and another in the Southern Hemisphere on the summit of Cerro Pachon near La Serena in Chile.
The two telescopes have a range of instruments on each, which vary through time and through each observing semester, Gemini North has a working Laser Guide Star Adaptive Optics system and Gemini South is currently comissioning a multi-laser wide field adaptive optics system.
